ESQHYA Meeting
Holiday Inn,
Meeting was called to order at 11:25 A.M.
Absent officers and directors include Nicole Thomas, Lauren Tousley, and Jordan Edwards
Treasurer’s Report: $9,877.44
Committee Reports:
□ World Show: Letters of intent due by May 1 to Missie Butler, we need to discuss uniform and stall decoration costs and designs.
□ Public Relations: Send news to Erica Wilson.
□ Judging: Anyone interested in forming a team for judging, horsebowl, or hippology for worlds or Congress, contact Amanda Wendt.
□ Fundraising:
o Shavings at the show
o Collect bottles and cans at the shows
o Ford truck raffle tickets
o After much discussion we are also doing a car wash, dated to be determined, and a Home Interiors sale. Flyers were passed out for the Home Interiors fundraiser. WE will collect orders and money to turn in at the Breeders Show. Make checks payable to ESQHYA and there is no sales tax to collect.
o Nutrena Feed Labels: We have made almost $500.00 by collecting the tags. Motion was made by Amanda Wendt seconded by Danielle Hannifin to extend the Nutrena label contest until the meeting at Breeders, May 26. Motion carried.
□ Congress: Letters of intent due May 1, 2007 to Missie Butler. Be sure to complete all of your requirements.
□ Community Service: The collection for the Victory Junction Camp will continue through the May meeting.
□ Awards: Before ordering ribbons, etc., our leftover supply needs to be checked.

D) There will be twelve state qualifying shows. They are as follows:
-Spring Fling Show first weekend – Saturday
and Sunday
-Spring Fling Show second weekend – Saturday and Sunday
-Saugerties – Saturday and Sunday
-Cobleskill Spring Show – Saturday and Sunday
-Breeders – Saturday and Sunday (first show) both judges’ cards will be used.

Article XIII: Year End Awards
A member must attend three regularly scheduled meetings of ESQHYA to qualify
for year end awards prior to November 15th of the current calendar
year.

July Horseshow:
The ESQHA Spring Show will be held June 28 and 29 while the ESQHYA show will be June 30 – July 3 to make the shows the Empire Summer Circuit. We will have NSBA classes, a full slate of select classes and a Cuse Classic class. We will be giving saddles for circuit high point 6 – day champions. We will buy four and the mother club will buy two. A motion was made by Amanda Wendt to be in unison with the mother club as to what they pay the office personnel and seconded by Erica Wilson. Motion carried. Everyone is encouraged to recruit sponsors for our shows. The sponsorship form will be available of the website very soon.
Lisa Williams will contact Bonnie about doing the food booth at our shows.
The youth will be doing the shavings which will most likely be two trailer loads; we will need a lot of help. A motion was made by Rebecca Allen and seconded by Amanda Wendt to have coffee and donuts at the July show at a cost of no more than $25.00 per day. Motion carried. Ashley Streeter’s aunt offered to donate $25.00 toward the donuts.
Creekside Photography will be at the show June 28 through July 1. They have another commitment for the last two days of our show.
Stall fees will be $100 for all six days, portables will be $125. Campers are $25.00 a day. Fence fee is $35.00 beginning on Wed. The trail fee is tabled until the next meeting.
New Business:
Ford Truck Raffle Tickets are available, contact Amanda Wendt. You must prepay $50.00 for a packet of 10 tickets.
Danielle Hannifin is adding a photo gallery on the website. Members are encouraged to send her a bio and picture to add.
